Teagan King

Denver, CO

Since 2008, Teagan has experimented with ceramics conveying warmth and playfulness. Her animated storybook creatures toy with fascination for creatures emphasizing humanlike personalities. Her wheel-thrown and altered teapots focus on the balance between form and function. Her love of ceramics began at a young age when she was an apprentice to Lily the Potter, and has expanded to constructing her own kick-wheel and backyard studio, studying ceramics in an undergraduate program at Whitman College and working as a ceramics lab assistant, exploring classes at the Potters Guild of Baltimore, participating in various juried shows, and teaching classes at Studio Arts Boulder.
